Oh dear it seems that the choice of photograph for the exhibition postcard invitation is going to prove to be a difficult one!As I line the images up on the page I keep hearing the phrase "What about me?" and then the song of the same title starts to play in my mind... Am I going mad I wonder? Shannon Noll was annoying at the time he first sang the song and now I am finding his voice unbearable! While I am certainly experiencing an auditory hallucination of a terrifying nature by hearing those lines being repeated Ad Nauseam there is no underestimating the level of stress that preparing for an exhibition of your work creates. Today is less than one month from the opening night and I have already fallen foul of the mysterious forces of cyber space...as I discovered the listing for my exhibition opening has somehow evaded making its way onto the Headon Festival site...a temporary concern of course that will be rectified ASAP but...At this point while I am struggling with the final edit of images to go to print, earning a living and doing the myriad of other issues and chores everyday living requires this is almost enough to push me into meltdown...Almost that is...but not quite enough to run out into the street screaming "What about me"?I have previously found that the image that goes on the invitation card to an exhibition can be absolutely tellingly significant or say absolutely nothing about what the rest of the show is going to consist of and the choice is a particularly interesting one for me this time... An old friend of mine jokingly used to say that if the card had a really great image advertising the show then the exhibition would almost inevitably be dull or impossibly meaningless...and vice versa...So today I am going to post the image that I believe will completely represent what I wish to achieve with this exhibition... to get people thinking...So what do you think? Is this a thumbs up...Or a thumbs down?
